Renderings
A quick sketch can efficiently communicate an architectural idea in three dimensions. David Torrey’s hand drawings bring new viewpoints into our clients’ imagination to make the case for transformative change. The following collection of renderings have been used to develop design concepts and ultimately to inspire commitment to construction. Many of these realizations are to be found in our Portfolio of completed projects.
Inspiration
No new architecture is born in a vacuum. David Torrey has been observing and documenting built forms in the landscape for as long as he can remember, and his architecture gains inspiration from each building’s unique local environment. Here we share a sampling of pen and ink drawings and watercolors from David’s travel journals over the years. Drawn from life, each of these views records how buildings have enriched their local environments over time and across the world.
